Clarion is one of the world’s leading events organisers, producing and delivering innovative and market-leading events since 1947.
With over 200 events ran by small teams, the company needed an inhouse website platform that the teams could use to spin off their own event websites without having to depend on external suppliers.
I led the build of this platform liaising with the team members, the web developers, the Head of Content and CDO. Communication, integration and prioritisation were key to successfully lead the project which is now running and saved —— to the company.
Working with a variety of events teams from renewable energy to gene therapy, to home decorations, to technology or arts was the most interesting part where being able to communicate flawlessly was fundamental, managing to satisfy all different needs and finding solutions that would work with was challenging and seeing the platform operative and using was the most rewarding part.
